Hi there! I’m Lauren!

I am a Registered Neonatal Intensive Care Nurse, Registered Midwife and Childbirth Educator currently working in a large Tertiary hospital in the inner city of Melbourne. Outside of this, I love to spend my free time keeping active, enjoying dining out, and spending time with my much-loved family and friends.

I just want every person who comes across my page to know that, birth does NOT have to be a scary experience, or one that you and your birthing partner don’t enjoy! 

I have spent over 10 years working with new mothers postnatally where I have come across many common themes whilst debriefing about their birth. 

These include; ‘I didn’t know what my options were’, ‘was that what was supposed to happen’, ‘I didn’t feel in control’, ‘they didn’t give me a choice’, ‘I had no idea what to expect’, ‘I didn’t know how to cope’.

These are some of the reasons why I am extremely passionate about ensuring that you as an expecting mother have a supported and positive birth experience no matter how or where you deliver, and to ensure you feel safe and feel in control of the decisions that are being made surrounding your pregnancy and birth. As I am a Registered Midwife, be sure that you will receive an up to date, evidence based program, with extended access to myself if you have any specific questions around the remainder of your pregnancy and delivery. 

Another added bonus of my qualifications is that you may be eligible for a private heath rebate through your provider. 

Oh, and what keeps me going? The positive birth stories I have heard from my previous clients since starting. I am always delighted when clients share their story with me and are truly thankful for the impact I had on their pregnancy and birth. They are definitely the real reason I continue to teach this course!
